Romania’s David Popovici wins gold in men’s 200 m freestyle swimming final at Paris La Defense Arena

Swimmer David Popovici won  men’s 200 meter freestyle swimming final, on Monday evening , grabbing the first gold medal for Romania in this edition of the Olympic Games in Paris. This is also the Romanian swimmer’s first Olympic medal.

Swimmer David Popovici won  men’s 200 meter freestyle swimming final, on Monday evening , grabbing the first gold medal for Romania in this edition of the Olympic Games in Paris. This is also the Romanian swimmer’s first Olympic medal.

David Popovici won the gold medal at  1:44.72, followed by Great Britain’s Matthew Richards at 1:44.74 with the silver medal and USA’s  Luke Hobson in the bronze medal position, at 1:44.79.
