Romania is trying hard to maintain its place among Europe’s nations, since it gained its accession to the club as of January 1st, 2007. For all its predicament in terms of economic growth and per capita income, Romania has always fared well when it comes to culture and literature. Romania’s book market is generous, and in the past two decades the book fairs staged by Radio Romania in Bucharest’s ROMEXPO Exhibition compound have made the country famous across Europe.

As usual, we begin with a series of useful words and phrases:
