This Week… in Your Letters
România Internațional, 03.09.2016, 14:51
Thank you for
believing in short-wave radio and continuing to broadcast daily all of these
years. […] I look forward to learning more about the Romanian people, history,
geography, culture and music via your broadcasts. I am especially interested in
the history of your country. While I can get this information from many
sources, having this information transferred to me by radio from Romania by
native Romanians makes it more rewarding. (Michael E Miller, USA)
Today I caught Radio Romania in Guatemala
and I was amazed of the excellent broadcasts. (Rodolfo Aguirre, Guatemala)
RRI is one of
my favourite radio stations as its programming often brings back treasured
memories of my childhood in Slovakia as Romania and Slovakia have many Eastern
European cultural customs and traditions. Otto Schwartz, USA
I always
enjoy listening to your broadcast; you have such a diverse range of topics each
day that if one topic holds no interest or doesn’t appeal to me, then another
topic will come along very quickly. Your music slot at 30 minutes into your
1-hour transmission are always enjoyable, and especially the traditional music
in today’s Truly Romanian. […] World of Culture also frequently has interesting
items for me. RRI encyclopaedia (a programme covering so many random topics) is
so often very interesting and I particularly enjoyed the story in Saturday’s
broadcast about the newspaper Universul. (Alan Roe, UK)
