The Romanian
athlete Claudia Mihaela Bobocea will be competing on Friday in the
1,500 m race of an event held in Manchester as part of the World
Athletics Continental Tour. She came fourth on Tuesday in this race
in the Ostrava Golden Spike international competition, finishing in
4:01.10.
This result, which is a new personal record, secured her
participation in the World Championships to be hosted this July by
Eugene, in Oregon, the US, as well as in the European Championships
taking place in August in Munich, in Germany.

The Romanian

The central defender Andrei Miron has
terminated his contract with the Romanian vice-champions FCSB and
will most likely sign up with a foreign club. According to the
Romanian media, the former Romanian youth international is wanted by
the first-tier Hungarian club Kisvárda, where Claudiu Bumba and
Andrei Peteleu are also playing. The goal keeper Otto Hindrich, from
CFR Cluj, is also on loan to the Hungarian club as of recently.
The Romanian Football Federation has
decided that the 2022 edition of the Romanian Supercup be held in
Arad on the Francisc Neuman stadium on 9th July. The match
marking the start of the 2022-2023 season will see this year’s
champions CFR Cluj take on the winners of the Romanian Cup, Sepsi
Sfântu Gheorghe. This will be the first official match in Romanian
football with VAR. The Francisc Neuman stadium in Arad is one of the
newest in the country, having opened last year. It is the home of the
local side UTA and can seat 12,600 spectators. (CM)
