This weekend Bucharest
will be hosting the final tournament of the Romanian men’s handball Cup. On
Saturday, Dinamo Bucharest will play CSM Bacău while Steaua Bucharest will take
on Dobrogea Sud Constanța in the semi-finals. The final will be played on
Sunday. Dinamo Bucharest on Thursday defeated CSM Bucharest 34-32. Steaua
Bucharest secured a let-game win in the match against Romania’s champions,
Potaissa Turda, final score 36-34. CSM Bacău defeated CS Minaur Baia Mare 32-24,
while Dobrogea Sud Constanţa won 29-24 against Politehnica Timişoara.

news from football. Sepsi OSK Sfântu Gheorghe defeated FC Botoşani 1-0 at home
in the last match of round 10 in the group phase. CFR Cluj won the domestic
championship with 54 points, followed by FCSB with 45 points, Universitatea
Craiova with 41 points, Sepsi OSK Sfântu Gheorghe with 40 points, Academica Clinceni
with 33 points and FC Botoşani with 31 points. The last two teams, Astra
Giurgiu and Politehnica Iași have been relegated to the second league. This weekend
will see matches counting towards the first leg for the First League promotion
playoffs. On Saturday, CS Mioveni will play FC Hermannstadt, while Dunărea
Călăraşi will take on FC Voluntari. Sepsi OSK Sfântu Gheorghe on Sunday will
play Viitorul Constanţa in a playoff match that will decide which teams plays
in the second preliminary round of the new European interclub competition,
Conference League. FCSB and Universitatea Craiova will play in the 2nd
preliminary round of Conference League. CFR Cluj, Romania’s champions, will
