Romanian mens handball team Dinamo Bucharest Saturday night grabbed a 30-20 away win against Russian opponents Chekhovskyie Medvedy, in a fixture counting towards Champions Leagues Group D. In womens handball, CSM Bucharest this past Friday drew against Russian opponents Rostov Don, 23-all, in the Champions Leagues group B. After two rounds, CSM are the runner-up team in their group, on a par with Rostov Don, in terms of points, but with a poorer goal average. Danish side Team Esbjerg are third-placed, with two points, while fourth-placed are Polish team Perla Lublin, with zero points on their record sheet. In Group C, holder CSM Ramnicu Valcea sustained a 24-37 defeat by French opponent Brest Bretagne. SCM are 3-td placed with two points. Berest Bretagne is at the top of the table, with four points. Second-placed are Buducnost Podgorica, with two points, but with a better goal average than CSM Ramnicu Valcea. German side Bietigheim is 4th-placed with zero points on its record sheet. In the EHF Cup, Corona Brasov grabbed 35-30 win against Spanish opponents Bera Bera, while Magura Cisnadie thrashed Ukrainian side Galychanka Lvov, 31-23.
