Romania’s football champions CFR Cluj Thursday night sustained a 2-nil
defeat by AZ Alkmaar, in a Europe Conference league Group D fixture. In Group D’s
other match, Randers FC drew against FK Jablonec, 2-all, on home turf. AZ
Alkmaar are at the top of the table in Group D, with 10 points, FK Jablonec are
the runner-up team, with 5, while third-placed are Randers FC, with 4 points.
CFR Cluj are 4th-placed, with 1 point.
