Dinamo Bucharest football team, holder of eighteen titles in Romania’s domestic championship, have buttressed their pool of regulars so that this year, they may still keep their hopes alive for a qualification in the playoffs of League One’s championship. Dinamo brought back Croat midfielder Antun Palic, who signed a contract with the Romanian Football club. The contract is valid until June 30, 2019. 29-year old Palic had also played for Dinamo over 2015 and 2017. The Croat midfielder played 73 official matches for Dinamo, scoring 8 goals.

Having parted company with Dinamo in the summer of 2017, Anton Palic was signed by Belgian football team Mouscron, head-coached by another Romanian, Mircea Rednic.

Romanian football team Poli Timisoara has a new manager. 50-year old Leo Grozavu replaced Ionut Popa who has cancelled his contract with Poli Timisoara by mutual consent with the management of the club. As head-coach for Poli Timisoara, Ionut Popa succeeded to take Poli Timisoara as far as to the League Cup final and a Romanian Cup semifinal.

Among other things, Leo Grozavu played for Dinamo Bucharest and was at the helm of a string of Romanian League One teams. In 2017 during his stint as manager of FC Botosani, Grozavu lost temper and hit one of his footballers, which fatefully placed him under the public eye.

With Kayserispor, the Romanian Cristian Săpunaru was replaced at half time, while goal-keeper Silviu Lung Jr, was rested on the substitutes’ bench all throughout the game.

Romanian center-back Gabriel Tamas has scored a goal for Hapoel Haifa who were held to a 2-all draw in the away fixture they played against Maccabi Haifa. The match counted towards the first leg of the Israeli Cup’s quarterfinals Maccabi Haifa had a 2-nil lead, while Alon Turgeman scored one goal for Hapoel Haifa and Gabriel Tamas leveled the score in minute 76.
