Personality of the Year 2013 on RRI

Radio Romania International continues its end-of-year traditional survey among shortwave listeners, Internet and social media users, challenging you to an exercise that, we hope, you will find thought provoking.

You are invited to tell us which of today’s personalities you believe has left the most significant positive mark on the world in 2013. Based on your written choices, we will designate the “Personality of the Year 2013 on RRI”. Who might that person be, and, more importantly, why? Is he or she a politician, an opinion leader, a businessperson, an athlete, an artist, a scholar, or even someone who is not necessarily known to the public, but who has an exemplary story? It’s entirely up to you to decide!

We recall that in 2012 “The Personality of the Year on RRI” was Felix Baumgartner, the Austrian skydiver who in October 2012 jumped off an aerostatic balloon at more than 39 kilometres above sea level, thus becoming the first man to break the sound barrier in free-fall.

“The Personality of the Year 2013” will be announced in our programmes on Wednesday, January 1, 2014.
