The most important Romanian and foreign travel agencies and tour operators attended for four days the 42nd Romanian Tourism Fair. More than 230 line companies from Albania, Austria, Bulgaria, France, Greece, Hungary, India, Israel, Italy, Japan, the Republic of Moldova, Palestine, Romania, Sri Lanka, Turkey and Ukraine presented their offers at the fair.

The fairs level of internationalization, 21%, is proof of foreign companies openness and interest in the Romanians passionate about travelling. The offers were for all seasons, all tastes and all pockets, with discounts reaching as high as 50%, especially since, this year, the Early Booking offers coincided with the Black Friday ones. The Romanians interested in budget traveling could opt for holidays in the Greek islands, while others chose exotic destinations in Mexico, Brazil or Thailand.

Many visitors were interested in ski holidays, in countries such as Austria, Italy, Switzerland and Bulgaria, and also in city breaks for Christmas or New Years, in Romania and abroad. The Christmas fairs in Europe held pride of place, given the fame of those organized regularly in Athens, Istanbul, Prague, Vienna, Barcelona, Rome or Lisbon. Those interested in unique destinations chose far away places such as Playa Bonita in Panama, or Yucatan and Cancun in Mexico.

Another special proposal was a tour of Iceland, with the opportunity of visiting unique places in the world, at the junction of two big tectonic plates: the North-American and the Eurasian ones. The offers also included circuits for small groups to places that are inaccessible for mass tourism, such as Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, Costa Rica, Botswana or Uganda, pilgrimages to places rich in history and spirituality, medical travels and spa & wellness holidays, all rendered more attractive thanks to special discounts for travelling.
