“Dear Romanians at home and abroad, a year with lots of challenges and changes has ended. In the New Year we will have to work hard to turn hopes into reality. And we will do that together. During the holiday season we are kinder to each other. We have more time for those who need our support. We also have more hope and faith in the future. We leave our differences aside and we only keep what brings us together,” President Klaus Iohannis said in his message.
President Iohannis also said he was confident that 2015 would be the year that Romania enters an era of normalcy.
Klaus Iohannis: “My thoughts are with all of you, my fellow citizens from all over the world. My thoughts are with the young people, who wish for a better future in their own country, with the people who, through their work and initiative, are taking this country forward. My thoughts are with our parents and grandparents, who gave us a good start in life, with the people who serve under the flag of Romania and its allies and honour us. My thoughts are with the people who call Romania home, wherever they may be. I wish that from now on we should not need any special day for faith and hope. I wish 2015 would be the year when Romania enters an era of normalcy. Happy New Year to you all!
