Starting Friday, until June 26, through a dedicated computer application, natural persons in Romania can register for the new 2023 session of the Photovoltaic Green House program. One of the novelties this year is that, considering the very large number of applicants and in order not to overload the IT application, registrations will be made in 8 stages, one for each development region of Romania, in alphabetical order, each region having three working days allocated. So, until May 23, registration is possible for residents of Bucharest and the bordering county of Ilfov.
According to the Minister of the Environment, Barna Tanczos, the registration provided by the Environmental Fund Administration is very easy to use. Applicants only need a few minutes of their time and four documents in pdf format: an identity card valid on the date of registration, a land register excerpt, a tax certificate attesting there are no debts to the State budget and a tax certificate attesting there are no debts to the local budget.
Before the registration of natural persons in the Photovoltaic Green House program, there was another stage, devoted to companies and professionals who install such alternative energy systems. More than 250 companies have signed up to the program. The Minister of the Environment had stated that, if there were enough installers, the already allocated funds could be doubled. For now, the budget of this year’s program is 1.75 billion lei (about 35 million euros), the equivalent of over 87,000 photovoltaic systems.
Thanks to the increasingly popular Photovoltaic Green House program, beneficiaries can obtain financing of up to 90% of the total amount of eligible expenses, within the limit of 20,000 lei (4 thousand euros), for the installation of photovoltaic panel systems with a minimum power of 3 kWh.
In the two previous sessions of program, 55,000 applications were approved.
By installing photovoltaic panel systems for the production of electricity, the beneficiaries will be able to cover their consumption needs, but also to deliver the surplus to the national grid. Whether they turn to the help of the State or decide to install alternative green energy systems entirely from their own budget, Romanians seem more and more interested in becoming energy independent. Especially after the increase in electricity and natural gas prices, the demand for solar panels has rocketed. (MI)
