NATOs Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen, stated in an interview for Radio Romania, that if Russia or anyone else would attack a NATO member state, the Alliance would offer effective defence and protection.
Anders Fogh Rasmussen said that Russias actions in Ukraine have determined a new security situation in Europe and so, at NATOs summit in September, the Alliance will take further steps such as updating its existing defence plans, developing new defence plans, enhanced military exercises and appropriate deployment.
