Now its news from ice hockey, as Romanian team ACSH Gheorgheni on Thursday sustained a 5-2 home defeat by Hungarian opponents Hokiklub Budapest. The match counted towards the play-out stage of the regional ice-hockey competition Erste Liga. Hungarian side Fehervari Titanok are the leader in the rankings with 18 points out of 6 games played. ACSH Gheorghieni are the runner-up team, with 15 points out of 7 games played.
On Saturday, Romania’s national rugby team in the northern Romania town of Botosani faces the national team of Germany in the match counting towards the second round of the Rugby Europe International Championship 2019. In the first round last Saturday, hosted by the central Transylvanian city of Cluj, Romanian sustained a 9-18 defeat by Georgia. As compared to the fixture against Georgia, the Romanian national squad’s technical staff has operated six changes in the team’s lineup for the game against Germany.
