Romania’s handball club champions Dinamo Bucharest
lost 30-28 at home to SC Magdeburg of Germany in a match counting towards
Champions League Group A.
On Thursday, Romania’s football champions,
CFR Cluj, lost 0-1 to Sivasspor of Turkey at home in match counting towards
Europa Conference League Group G. In the same competition, FCSB drew 0-0 against
Anderlecht Brussels of Belgium at home.
In the David Cup Group I, Slovakia is playing
Romania at home this weekend. On Friday, Norbert Gombos of Slovakia will play
Nicholas David Ionel of Romania, while in the second match Alex Molcan of
Slovakia will take on Marius Copil. On Saturday, the host pair Lukas Klein /
Igor Zelenay will play Marius Copil / Victor Vlad Cornea. In the singles, Alex
Molcan will play Nicholas David Ionel, while Norbert Gombos will play Marius
Copil.
On Sunday, in the EHF European Champions
League Group B, Rapid Bucharest will go up against Metz of France at home. In
Group A, CSM Bucharest will play Brest Bretagne of France away from home.
On Saturday, in the East Conference League of
Rugby Europe Super Cup, the Romanian Wolves will play Batumi of Georgia at
home. In the other Conference fixture, Black Lion of Georgia will play Tel Aviv
Heat of Israel.
This weekend will also see matches counting
towards the 11th round of the Romanian Superleague. On Friday, FC
Voluntari is playing FCU Craiova, Petrolul Ploiești will take on Farul
Constanța. On Saturday, UTA Arad will play FC Hermannstadt, Sepsi Sfântu
Gheorghe will play FC Botoșani, while Rapid Bucharest will play CS Mioveni. On
Sunday, Universitatea Cluj will go up against Chindia Târgoviște, while CSU
