Romanias tennis team defeated Hungary 4-0 in the Billie Jean King Cup playoffs on Saturday in Oradea. On Friday, Ana Bogdan defeated Dalma Galfi, 6-1, 6-4. In the second match that day, Jaqueline Cristian defeated Anna Bondar, 6-2, 4-6, 7-6. In the doubles match, Jaqueline Cristian and Monica Niculescu won against Reka Luca Jani and Panna Udvardy, 5-7, 6-4, 10-4. The last win for Romania was brought by Ana Bogdan in the match against Panna Udvardy, 6-0, 6-2. Romania will play in the 2023 preliminaries for the final tournament, while Hungary will play in Group 1.
