In the European
Nations’ League, Romania on Sunday lost nil-4 to Norway in Olso. Erling Haaland
scored a triple for the hosts on minutes 13, 64 and 74, and Alexander Sørloth
also scored on minute 39. Romania had a poor display of football overall.
Goalkeeper Ciprian Tătărușanu’s good performance was the only thing that
prevent the score from further escalating. Also on Sunday, in the other group
fixture, Austria defeated Northern Ireland 1-nil. Romania will next play
Austria on October 14 in Ploieşti.
