very tight matches. Romania’s points were earned by Simona Halep, who defeated

Corona Brasov won their third national championship title. They defeated CSM
Galati 6-2 in the third match and 7-2 in the fourth match. Corona won the final
with an aggregate score of 3-1, with the final being held in the best-of-five
format.
In rugby, three matches were held as
part of the national league’s 11th round. Dinamo Bucharest lost to
Farul Constanta 25-27; Steaua Bucharest drew 13-all against CSM Baia Mare;
while Universitatea Cluj defeated HCM Buzau 26-16. CSM Bucharest lead in the
standings with 44 points, followed by Steaua Bucharest with 41 points,
Timisoara Saracens with 39 points and CSM Baia Mare with 38 points.

and the results of League One’s 6th round. In Group 1, Astra Giurgiu
lost to Universitatea Craiova nil-1; Sepsi Sfantu Gheorghe lost to CFR Cluj

with 41 points, followed by FCSB with 36 points and Universitatea Craiova with
33 points. In Group 2, FC Hermannstadt drew 1-all against FC Voluntari and Gaz
Metan Medias drew nil-all against Dunarea Calarasi. The leg’s final two matches
are held on Monday, when Politehnica Iasi take on Concordia Chiajna and Dinamo
Bucharest face FC Botosani. FC Botosani, with 22 points, and FC Hermannstadt,
with 18 points, currently rank 5th and 6th, which means
they will have to play a relegation play-off, while Dunarea Calarasi, with 17
points, and Concordia Chiajna, with 14 points, are in the 7th and 8th
places, which means they will relegate straight to the second-tier league.
