In mens handball, Dobrogea Sud Constanta has advanced to the EHF Cup after defeating Swedens Malmo at home 34-28 in the second leg of the third preliminary round. Dobrogea Sud had also won the first leg in Sweden, 23-22.

From the world of hockey, all the Romanian teams performing in Erste League grabbed victories in Sundays matches. SC Miercurea Ciuc defeated Vienna Capitals II 7-1 at home. Corona Brasov won 5-2 against Dunaujvarosi Acelbikak while ACSH Gheorgheni defeated the team in last position, Schiller-Vasas 3-2 at home. In the group tables, SC Miercurea Ciuc ranks first with 64 points, followed by Hungarys Ferencvaros Budapest with 58 points.

This weekend saw a new round in the Romanian Football League. On Friday, Dinamo Bucharest drew 1-all at home against Gaz Metan Medias. On Saturday, Sepsi Sfantu Gheorghe won 1-nil against Astra Giurgiu at home, while CFR Cluj defeated Concordia Chiajna 1-nil away from home.
