The
Romanian Football Federation is examining the possibility of bringing in a new
headcoach starting this autumn. Edward Iordănescu
could be dismissed following the disappointing results reported in Nations
League, with two defeats to Montenegro and one to Bosnia Herzegovina. The
chairman of the Federation, Răzvan Burleanu,
told a press conference on Wednesday that a meeting of Technical Committee of
the Federation will be scheduled for the end of September. The members will
decide whether to keep Edward Iordănescu
on the bench or to sack him. Romania will play Finland away from home on
September 23, as well as Bosnia Herzegovina on the 26 at home. The results of
these two matches will most likely decide if Iordănescu
stays on.
