The International Football Federation — FIFA has taken an unprecedented decision that will rock the world of football. Video replays will be introduced and used for refereeing at the World Cup of 2018 in Russia. FIFA President, Gianni Infantino, has confirmed the decision at the 67th Congress of the South-American Football Confederation — CONMEBOL, hosted by Santiago de Chile. “In 2017, when everyone in the stadium or at home can see within seconds if the referee made a mistake, we can’t have a situation where the only one who can’t see it is the referee”, Infantino said.
