Raul Rusescu, the Romanian striker of Turkish side Osmanlispor, comes fourth in a ranking of the Europa Leagues’ most prolific strikers. The ranking was made after UEFA became Europa League in the 2009 — 2010 season. Raul Rusescu has scored 19 goals in this prestigious competition; four of them in the qualifiers. In the present season, Rusescu scored one goal in the preliminaries and three in the groups, where Osmanlispor have also played Steaua Bucharest. Columbian Radamel Falcao is the best scorer in the competition’s history with 31 goals. He boasts two trophies with the sides he played for, the first with FC Porto and the second with Atletico Madrid.
Young Dinamo player Dorin Rotariu has been transferred to Belgian side FC Bruges. According to the Belgian team, Rotariu has signed up for three years and a half. We recall that Rotariu, 21, had played for Dinamo since 2012, scoring 30 goals in 147 official fixtures. He continues the series of transfers of Romanian players to the Belgian championship; we recall that Alexandru Chipciu and Nicolae Stanciu signed up with Anderlecht last year, while Razvan Marin has been recently transferred to Standard Liege.
FC Bruges ranks first in the Belgian League, followed by Anderlecht.
Steaua Bucharest, Romania’s vice-champions, have been outperformed by Wisla Krakow 4-3 in Belek, in their last friendly, part of their training campaign in Turkey. Steaua will resume their official playing by taking up on CFR Cluj in an away game part of the 22nd leg of the Romanian championships.
