Footballers Cosmin Moti and Claudiu Keseru have qualified to the European spring. Their team, Ludogorets Razgrad, will perform in the Europa League round of 32. The Bulgarian champions finished in 3rd place in Group A, after Arsenal London and Paris Saint-Germain, but ahead of FC Basel. The difference between the Bulgarian and Swiss sides was settled on Tuesday, when Basel lost 1-4 at home to Arsenal, while Ludogorets grabbed 1 point in the 2-all away draw against Paris Saint-Germain.
This is the second time Ludogorets will be playing in the Europa League knock-out phase. In the 2013-2014 season, Ludogoret reached the round of 16, after defeating Lazio Rome in the round of 32. The Bulgarian club was then knocked out by Valencia.
Romanian midfielder Nicusor Stanciu of Anderlecht Brussels could perform in Premier League as of next season, as he has been listed as a possible transfer of the English side Sunderland, reads the Belgian press. “Anderlecht paid nearly 10 million euros for Nicusor Stanciu, although the Romanian playmaker hasnt lived up to the expectations. Still, interest in the Romanian player runs high in Premier League. Sunderland is struggling in the relegation zone and is looking for reinforcements. Stanciu has been mentioned as a possible transfer for the winter mid-season break, the voetbalbelgie.be webpage writes.
Seen as a successful transfer from Steaua, Stanciu failed to settle in with the first squad, scoring only 4 goals in 19 games. In the last fixture of the Belgian championship, Stanciu scored against Courtrai, but was subsequently sent off for a second yellow booking.(Translated by V. Palcu)
