Romanian footballer Razvan Marin had a solid contribution to his club Standard Liege qualifying to the Belgian Cup semi-finals. Marin scored a goal in the 3-2 win against Oostended away from home in the quarterfinals.
Richairo Zivkovic scored the first goal for the home side on minute 17. Standard drew level on minute 34, with a goal scored by Orlando Sa of Portugal. Three minutes into the second half of the game Razvan Marin put Standard in the lead, while Renaud Emond made it 3-1 on minute 83. Zinho Gano scored the second goal for Oostended on minute 90. This was the third goal Razvan Marin has scored for Standard in the 2017-2018 season so far.
In other news from international football, Anderlecht Brussels intends on selling Romanians Nicolae Stanciu and Alexandru Chipciu, who are now free to transfer, Agerpres news agency reports. Aged 24, Nicolae Stanciu only plaed in three games with coach Hein Vanhaezebrouck at Anderlecht’s helm. Het Nieuwsblad newspaper writes that so far Besiktas Istanbul of Turkey, Al Wahda of the United Arab Emirates and Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia have so far expressed an interest in signing Stanciu. Stanciu was signed by Anderlecht for €10 million. Alexandru Chipciu is also having a difficult time at the club. Aged 28, Chipciu is available for transfer on a €3-million fee.
Alexandru Ionut Mitrita has been signed by CSU Craiova from Pescara in the second Italian football league on a 700-thousand-euro fee. This summer, the 22-year-old footballer had been loaned by Craiova. (Translated by V. Palcu)
