FC Voluntari Football Club writes in a press release issued on Wednesday that they gave up on 13 footballers who in the previous competition season were part of the teams pool of regulars. Among them there were players who announced their retirement from professional football, such as international footballer Lucian Sanmartean, but also footballers whose contracts have not been extended, or for whom their loan period for other teams has expired.

FC Voluntari Football Club writes in a press release issued on Wednesday that they gave up on 13 footballers who in the previous competition season were part of the teams pool of regulars. Among them there were players who announced their retirement from professional football, such as international footballer Lucian Sanmartean, but also footballers whose contracts have not been extended, or for whom their loan period for other teams has expired.
At the end of the 2017-2018 competition season, when FC Voluntari succeeded to avoid relegation to the second league thanks to playoff fixture against Chindia Targoviste, the team from Ilfov county had 14 footballers whose contracts were about to expire. Among them, only one footballer, Costin Lazar, got a contract extension offered by the clubs general manager Ioan Andone. So far, FC Voluntari has transferred only one footballer, Portuguese right-back, 24-year old Ricardo Jose Veiga Varzim Miranda, also known as Ricardinho.
Astra Giurgiu have thrashed 4th League opponents Coltea Brasov, 5-nil, in a friendly they played on Tuesday, actually the debut match for the newly-appointed head-coach Marius Maldarasanu. The friendly game against Coltea Brasov was the last Astra Giurgiu played as part of their summer training camp, held in Poiana Brasov. The teams second training camp in scheduled in Slovenia.
On Wednesday, Coltea Brasov played Romanias vice-champions FCSB and trounced their opponents, 9-1. Starting July 1st, the team coached by Nicolae Dica will be in the Netherlands, where they will play four scheduled friendly games. On July 4th, FCSB take on Belgian champions FC Bruges, while on July 7 FCSB face Dutch vice-champions Ajax Amsterdam. On July 9, FCSB are up against Greek team PAOK Thessalonica, while on July 13, FCSB face Qatari team Al Gharafa.
