The mid week saw the matches of the 10th round of Group 2 in Romanias Football League One. On Tuesday, in the town of Sfantu Gheorghe, in central Romania, Sepsi obtained a landslide victory, 3-nil, against Poli Timisoara. The teams best player was Istvan Fulop who scored twice. He scored the first goal in the extra time of the first half from free kick, and the second goal on minute 80. Ibrahim Tandia scored the hosts 3rd goal on minute 84. The player from Mali also scored from free kick flicked on by Mihai Roman.

Sepsi played with only 10 footballers from minute 41 when Nigerian Benjamin Kuku was sent off after seriously injuring Denis Haruţ. The two clashed in an aerial duel and Timişoaras young fullback, who lost consciousness for a few seconds, needed emergency medical intervention. He was taken to hospital and stabilized.
Also on Tuesday, Dinamo Bucharest defeated Juventus Bucharest 2-nil. Scoring for Dinamo were Mihai Popescu on minute 64 and Dan Nistor on minute 72. In the first match Juventus had won 2-1. With their latest success, Dinamo have thus added the 3rd consecutive win to their wining record.
On Wednesday, Concordia Chiajna won the away match against FC Botoşani 1-nil. On minute 19, the team from Chiajna lost one footballer after Jordanian Thaer Bawab got a red booking for his tough tackle on a rival player. After only three minutes of play, Concordias Paul Batin scored the first goal, maintaining their advantage till the end of the match. Following this defeat, FC Botosani remains on the 2nd position in Group 2, 12 points away from the leading team Dinamo Bucharest.
Thursday will see the 4th match of the stage pitting Gaz Metan Mediaş against FC Voluntari.
