Coach Vasile Miriuta, who so far trained Concordia Chiajna, on Tuesday signed a contract with FC Dinamo, valid until 2019. Miriuta takes over the team from the interim Iulian Mihaescu.
Romanian footballers Dorin Rotariu and Razvan Marin scored for their teams, Royal Excel Mouscron and Standard Liege respectively, in latest round of the Belgium Cup. Rotariu scored his first goals for Mouscron, a team coached by the Romanian Mircea Rednic, contributing to his teams victory on home turf against the second-league team Tubize, 3-1. Dorin Rotariu has been playing for Mouscron, which borrowed him from FC Bruges. In turn, Razvan Marin scored the second goal of his team, Standard Liege, in a home match against the third-league KSK Heist, which ended 4-nil.
Champions Anderlecht Brussels, another Belgian team with Romanians on the lineup, also qualified to the last sixteen after defeating Westerlo 1-nil, away from home. Henry Onyekuru scored the only goal of the match, on 66 minutes. Nicolae Stanciu, playing for Anderlecht, went on the pitch in minute 71, while Alex Chipciu was replaced after 63 minutes.
