Former Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon died at the age of 85. Ariel Sharon also known as Arik, had been in a coma at the Sheba Medical Centre near Tel Aviv for eight years after suffering a stroke in 2006. Because he met difficulties in his Likud Party, Sharon set up his own party, Kadima, in November 2005.
