Several counties in southern and southwestern Romania were seriously hit by flooding in the past few days. Heavy downpours and storms caused significant damage and authorities are now trying to keep things under control.
Romanians in the southern regions of the country have these days been under code orange and yellow warnings for torrential rain, storm and flooding.
Romania has reiterated its commitment to supporting the Republic of Moldova at European level in order to help it face the economic sanctions imposed by the Russian Federation.
