Bucharest: The delegated Minister of the Romanian Diaspora Bogdan Stanoevici has beteligt in Munich at the opening of the 15th Romanian Cultural days. In addition Stanoevici came with representatives of the Romanian communities in Munich, Nuremberg and Ingolstadt to talks. In his speech at the cultural event in Munich, the Romanian Minister stressed the centuries of relations between the Romanian and German culture, as well as the potential for the expansion of cultural relations between the two countries, which could also lead to the further development of future joint projects.

Bucharest : Bucharest welcomes the decision of the Canadian authorities to put Romania on the list of countries of origin, whose citizens do not need visas for entry to Canada. The measure is an important step towards the abolition of the visa requirement for Romanian citizens who wish to travel to Canada, said Romanias Foreign Minister Titus Corlăţean. The list is an instrument of the Canadian authorities, is to avoid any abuse of Canadas immigration and asylum system. The States which are recognized as countries with a secure democracy on this list that comply with the human rights, offer protection and constitute no emigration countries.
Moreover, the Commission ruled against the imposition of the visa requirement for EU entry for citizens of Canada, Australia, Japan and the United States, even if the visa requirement when entering the said States for citizens of EU countries, including Romania was not abolished. The European Commission justified the decision by the fact that substantial progress was made in negotiations with the said non-EU countries. Consequentlym a full and perfect reciprocity face visa in view, Brussels added.
Sibiu: The Big Prize Documentary Festival Astra in Central Romania Sibiu (Hermannstadt) has gone to the Ukrainian production „Majdan“ which deals with the uprising in the Ukrainian capital Kiev and the Abestzung of President Viktor Ianukovici. As the best international documentary production „Master Of The Universe“ the director Marc Bauder was honored. The strip takes a look at the glittering financial world with all its depths and its Skrupellosigkeiten. The Romanian production „The Second Game“, directed by Corneliu Porumboiu was awarded the Special Jury Prize. The prize for the best European documentary went to „Blood“, the director Alina Rudnitskaya, during the movie „Waiting for August“ by director Ana Teodora Mihaia was awarded as the best Romanian Dokumentrafilm.
Sports: Gymnastics: The Romanian gymnast Larisa Iordache has won the silver medal at the World Championships in Nanning China in floor exercise. On Friday Iordache had conquered in the individual all-around silver medal. At the bottom triuphierte the American gymnast Simone Biles and in third place came the Russian Aliya Mustafina. The 18-year-old Larisa Iordache has not captured the European title five times and also won a bronze medal in all-around team in the Olympics 2012th
