CSM Volei Alba Blaj have pulled off their fifth win in a row in the Champions League Group A as they defeated the Polish side Rzeszow, 3-1, in the central Romanian town of Sibiu on Thursday. Cheered by 1,700 volleyball fans, the Romanian champions finished the match in 1 hour and 37 minutes. CSM Volei Alba Blaj are thus at the top of the table in Group A, having already won 14 points. The second-placed team, Volero Zurich, have 10 points. CSM Volei Alba Blaj have already booked their qualification to the Champions League's next stage, Playoff 6. They will play their next match against Volero Zurich on February 27, away from home.

The Romanian side FCSB have been eliminated from European competitions, having been thrashed in Rome by the local side Lazio, 5-1 in a return match as part of the Europa League round of 32. In their first leg match in Bucharest last week, FCSB had pulled off a surprising 1-nil win against the Italian side.
And now, to end this round-up, let's have a look at some upcoming domestic matches. The next few days will see the 26th leg of the Romanian League One. This is the final round of the regular season and will decide the teams competing in the Group 1 and Group 2 stages. On Friday, Universitatea Craiova face Poli Timisoara.
